On NC State Day of Giving, you can amplify your gift in multiple ways, thanks to generous challenge matches offered by our alumni, friends and corporate partners.
College of Design New Donor Challenge — Supported by the College of Design Leaders Council
The College of Design Leaders Council will donate $22,110 if the college’s new donor population increases by 10 percent on Day of Giving.
The College of Design is also eligible for the NC State Foundation Board Challenge.
College of Education Student Scholarship Challenge — Supported by College of Education faculty, staff and leadership
The College of Education faculty, staff and leadership have committed to giving $10,000 to the College of Education Student Scholarship Endowment if our alumni and friends also give $10,000 to the fund.
The College of Education is also eligible for the NC State Foundation Board Challenge.
College of Sciences Excellence Fund Challenge — Supported by Gail and Dean ’86 Bunce
When the College of Sciences secures 50 gifts, the college’s Campaign Cabinet representative, Dean Bunce ’86, and his wife, Gail, will donate $10,000 to the College of Sciences Excellence Fund to support areas of greatest need.
Biological Sciences Challenge — Supported by Gail and Dean ’86 Bunce
When the Department of Biological Sciences secures 25 gifts, Campaign Cabinet member Dean Bunce ’86 and his wife, Gail, will donate $5,000 to the Biological Sciences Enhancement Fund.
Poole College’s Morning Sprint — Supported by Lori ’84 and Mike ’84 Constantino
Lori and Mike Constantino have generously challenged the Poole College community to start Day of Giving off with a bang! If 150 gifts are recorded in support of Poole College by 10 a.m., Mike and Lori will contribute $25,000. Help secure this challenge by #GivingPack early.
Poole College Alumni “Pack Your Lunch” Challenge — Supported by Ginger and John ’93 Williams
Alumni, “Pack Your Lunch” on Day of Giving and contribute your lunch money. Ginger and John Williams have challenged Poole College alumni to make gifts during the noon to 1 p.m. lunch hour. If 100 alumni gifts are recorded, you’ll help Poole College secure $25,000 in unrestricted support from Ginger and John!
Poole Professors Challenge Poole Students — Supported by Professor Kathy Krawczyk and Professor Jennie Dirienzo
If students make at least 250 gifts by the end of the day on March 27, Professors Krawczyk and Dirienzo will contribute a combined $44,500 to Poole College. Representatives from the Poole Student Philanthropy Council will be on site in Nelson Hall to help you make your gift.
Poole College of Management is also eligible for the NC State Foundation Board Challenge.
Wilson College Alumni and Friends Participation Challenge — Supported by the North Carolina Textiles Foundation Board
If the Wilson College of Textiles reaches 50 donors by 1 p.m., current and former members of the North Carolina Textiles Foundation Board of Directors will donate $100,000!
Wilson College Social Media Share Challenge — Supported by the Wilson College of Textiles Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council
The Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council will donate $3,000 to the Dean’s Textiles Innovation Fund if Wilson College of Textiles alumni and friends reach 100 likes, shares and/or retweets of posts featuring the hashtags #GivingPack and #NCStateWilsonTextiles across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
Wilson College Student Participation Challenge — Supported by George Ragsdale ’99
Wilson College students! For every gift you make today, North Carolina Textile Foundation Board member George Ragsdale ’99 will donate $100 to the Wilson College of Textiles, up to $2,500.
Student Emergency Fund Challenge — Supported by Ghazale '96 and Andrew Johnston Alumna Ghazale Johnston and her husband, Andrew, will donate an additional $50,000 to the Student Emergency Fund if the fund receives 200 gifts! Fight back on issues like food and housing insecurity, and unlock critical funds to help meet your fellow Wolfpack members' basic needs for years to come.
Dean's Challenge — Supported by Mike Mullen, vice chancellor and dean for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs
Vice chancellor and dean Mike Mullen has provided a $10,000 challenge match to be split between participating Academic and Student Affairs funds! The more gifts your fund of choice receives, the higher percentage of Dr. Mullen's challenge they'll earn. Stay tuned through @ncstatedasa for more exciting news throughout the day!
The Division of Academic and Student Affairs is also eligible for the NC State Foundation Board Challenge.

NC State Athletics Student Fans Challenge — Supported by an anonymous donor
Do you consider yourself one of NC State’s biggest fans? If so, then we need you! If we students give 250 gifts ($10 minimum) to NC State Athletics between 5 and 6 p.m., a generous donor will make a #STATEMENT in honor of you, our awesome students, in the amount of $25,000. Come on, students, let us hear you! WOLF! PACK! WOLF! PACK!
NC State Athletics Young Alumni Challenge — Supported by an anonymous donor
If you’re a recent graduate of NC State, we know you remember what it was like to be part of the student section as you cheered on the Wolfpack at your favorite sporting event. Will you continue to help support our student-athletes? If we receive 100 gifts ($10 minimum) from young alumni (graduating classes of 2009-2018) between 7 and 8 p.m., a generous donor will give an additional $25,000 in your honor. Now that’s a #STATEMENT for our Pack!
Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity Staff Challenge — Supported by Sheri Schwab
OIED’s interim vice provost, Sheri Schwab, will match contributions from OIED staff members up to a total of $1,000.
The OIED Diversity and Equity Fund is also eligible for the NC State Foundation Board Challenge.
Park Scholarships Participation Challenge —
Supported by Wade Colburn ’14
Wade Colburn ’14, president of the Park Alumni Society, is maximizing the impact of your Park Scholarships support! Wade is offering a series of mini-challenges throughout the day earning bonus gifts of up to $15,000, based on the number of gifts made to Park Scholarships. The more gifts you give to Park Scholarships, the more chances there are to unlock Wade’s generous challenge funds.
Student leaders help strengthen the Pack. Support the Caldwell Fellows and Park Scholars in a friendly competition. The program that receives the most gifts at the end of the day will receive an additional $5,000 in bonus funds from the NC State Foundation Board. We all win when we invest in student leadership!
Two Caldwell Fellows alumni are challenging others to participate in NC State's inaugural Day of Giving and support the Caldwell Fellows Fund. They will each give $10 for every donor who makes a gift of $20 or more to the Caldwell Fellows Fund before 5 p.m. on March 27. Make your gift and secure an extra $20 for the Caldwell Fellows at NC State!
NC State Foundation Board Challenge: Colleges — Supported by the NC State Foundation Board
The NC State Foundation board is offering $40,000 to make sure the colleges and units it represents show up strong on Day of Giving! The college with the most gifts and the college that raises the most funds will each receive an additional $12,000, and the runner-up college in each category will receive an additional $8,000.

The individuals or groups within University Advancement who give the top 10 largest gifts will be granted naming rights to a precious item in Vice Chancellor Brian Sischo's office (stapler, monitor, keyboard, desk, conference table, M&M dispenser, lamp, windowsill, etc.) for one week. Vice Chancellor Sischo will match the largest gift from an individual or group (up to $5,000) with a gift to the NC State fund of their choice.
