About Day of Giving

Launched in 2019, NC State’s Day of Giving has become a proud Wolfpack tradition.

Together, we’ve shown what the Pack can do in 24 hours. We know that we’re stronger together — and that when it comes to making a difference, the time is always now. You’ve shared your story, and each year, by giving back, you’ve given forward: It’s our Wolfpack, our university and our vision for the future.

What is NC State Day of Giving?

NC State Day of Giving is an annual, daylong fundraising event that typically takes place in March. It’s a day devoted to bringing the entire Wolfpack together for 24 hours of friendly competition, fun challenges and, of course, #GivingPack — all to make a difference for our students, faculty, research, programs and more.

Why have an annual Day of Giving?

Many gifts made on Day of Giving — along with the bonuses earned by colleges and programs through challenges and leaderboards — go to work immediately, supporting scholarships, helping students meet basic needs, fueling research, enhancing campus programs and so much more.

That’s why holding this annual effort makes such a difference: Day of Giving helps support our students when they need it most, invest in our faculty’s growth, strengthen our campus programs and more — as soon as the current academic year.

And your gift doesn’t just provide financial support; it encourages our students by showing them that the Wolfpack keeps investing and believing in them, every step of the way.

When is NC State Day of Giving 2025?

Our next Day of Giving is March 26, 2025.

How can I get involved?

One big way to make a difference on Day of Giving is by becoming a Pack Leader. Pack Leaders are enthusiastic alumni, family members and friends of NC State who spread the word leading up to and on Day of Giving to inspire others to get involved.
